Ten Thousand Villages (a Fair Trade network of cooperatives and stores) and the Montreal West Operatic Society (amateur productions of Gilbert and Sullivan). Both have shoestring budgets and rely heavily on volunteers. Each one does enormous good in their respective domains. Ten Thousand Villages help organize and support sustainable artisans across the Third World, while the Montreal West Operatic Society renders all profit to the Montreal Children's Hospital. QPARSE/QPAT members are involved in both these organizations.
